Space Needs for Veggies
This table lists the space needs for some common vegetables. Vegetables suitable for small spaces are those that are compact such as cilantro or radishes or those that climb such as peas or beans.

Seedy Saturdays 2017
Seedy Saturdays are community events where gardeners gather to give away or swap seeds. Often there are educational talks and local seed vendors present. Those in the greater Vancouver area in 2017 are:
- Feb 25 – Vancouver (VanDusen Botanical Gardens, 10-3)
- Mar 4 – Richmond (Thompson Community Ctr, 10-2)
- Mar 18 – N. Vancouver (N Van City Library, 10-3)
- Apr 1 – Surrey (Historic Stewart Farm, 11- 3)
- May 13 – Langley (Langley Demonstration Garden, 1-4)
